Modular Home Builders Association assists builders and consumers

Dec 4, 2009
Posted In: General

“We work with our members, customers, local business owners and those who make policy decisions to create and maintain the best standards and practices for building modular homes in the state,” said Scott Stone, who currently serves as president of the MHBA.

“Modular construction offers many advantages when preparing to build a new home, including being the “green” choice,” according to Stone. Because modular homes are constructed inside a factory, they offer numerous efficiencies and advantages over traditional site-built homes.

Those currently serving as officers on the Association's board include Stone, of Schiavi Home Builders, Nick Sherman, vice-president, of Hallmark Homes, Ena Derenburger, secretary and treasurer, of Turn Key Homes of Maine, Kate Burgess Rush, of Evolo Home Center, Matt Corbett, of Hancock Lumber, and Ed Smith, of Nelson & Small.

The Modular Home Builders Association of Maine is proactive with issues affecting members, consumers, and public policy. The Association establishes and promotes practices and standards for excellence in homebuilding.
